The fourth Caliph of Islam was Hazrat Ali(R.A) (656-61).The prophet (SAW) son-in-law. He was the son of Abu Talib (SAW).
Hazrat Ali (R.A) faced a lot of trouble from different groups and spent a lot of time trying to stop his followers from fighting with each other. To deal with these problems, he had to move in present day Iraq. In the End, he too was martyred in 661.
He is one among the four Khulufa-e-rashideen, He was very close to the Holy prophet Muhammad (SAW)in his personal life .
